Gabby Language School in Žilina is an association of Cambridge schools that prepares for all Cambridge exams KET, PET, FCE, CAE, CPE and is also an accredited centre of Educational Testing service (ETS), the company that produces TOEIC, TOEFL tests. These tests are taken by millions of people every year all over the world.Our language school directly tests working English, German, French through the international TOEIC exam and we also prepare students for the international academic English TOEFL exam, plus the Goethe German A2 level certificate. B1,B2. Gabby Language School, as a test centre, registers students for Cambridge exams, as the language school is an association of Cambridge schools. The most common Cambrigde exams in Žilina are FCE and CAE. If you are interested in a particular exam, please contact us.

PaedDr. Ing. Gabriela Antolíková, MBA

Auditor, Director, Study Advisor

She graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Žilina in Žilina, majoring in mechanical engineering technology, and the Faculty of Economics at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, majoring in financial business. For three years she attended Cape Cod Community College in the USA, Boston, which she successfully completed with a diploma. During her five-year stay in the UK she studied English and worked for a logistics company. She obtained Cambridge certificates FCE, CAE and a national exam in English. In 2019, she completed a postgraduate degree ( MBA ) which is aimed at increasing her skills and experience in modern management. In 2022, she successfully completed her PhD in Education with a focus on children with special needs such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or ADHD and autism. She also volunteers with KST as the Vice President of Economics and Marketing.

Mgr. Darinka Pavelčíková

Child psychologist

She graduated from the Matej Bel Pedagogical Faculty in Bánská Bystrica, majoring in pedagogy and psychology, and from the Faculty of Humanities and Natural Sciences in Prešov, majoring in social pedagogy with a focus on school psychology. She studied English for four years at the Faculty of Arts in Prešov and three years at the British University. She holds Cambridge FCE and CAE certificates. Her main activity is study methodology and child psychology. She also arranges special sessions with parents, where she provides expert advice on school pedagogy. This form of consultation is much sought after and preferred by parents. Darinka is an optimistic woman with a big heart.

Mgr. Sylvia Paleničková

English language teacher, French language teacher

In 1999 she successfully graduated from the Faculty of Education of Comenius University in Bratislava – a combination of English and French. She has been studying English since childhood. In the language school she runs specialized courses (Business English, Bank English, Accounting, Slovak language teaching for foreigners and others). She has improved her communication and motivational skills by attending several seminars and trainings.

Mgr. Janka Pučeková

English language teacher

She lived in Australia in Sydney from 1983 to 2006, where she obtained various certificates such as ILLC – Intensive language learning centre, HSC – High School Leaving Certificate, TAFE, Advanced certificate in accounting, TESOL and others. In 2007 she moved back to Slovakia and works as an English language lecturer. She enjoys her work very much and, as she says herself, she can’t imagine any other job In her private life she is a mother of two children.

Mgr. Zuzana Lagová

English language teacher

He has been working as a lecturer for more than 25 years. She completed a study stay in the UK and obtained Cambridge certificates FCE and CAE. As a Cambridge English Teacher, she is continuously completing additional certificates on online courses. She is also currently studying Colloquial French on the Larousse and Duolingo online courses with French tutors.

Lic. Cynthia Roa Garcia

English language teacher

Cynthia studied at law school in Mexico and holds all Cambridge certificates, including a TOEFL certificate. She successfully completed the Oxford Primary Teacher Training Seminar in 2013. She has been teaching languages as a tutor for over 10 years. She enjoys reading, cooking and travelling

Mgr. Katarína Šedíková

English language teacher

She studied English language and literature and psychology at Comenius University in Bratislava. She lived and worked in England and Ireland for two years. She has been working as an English lecturer for companies and individuals for nine years. For five years she was employed as a secondary school English teacher. She teaches general English, business English and conversation. She teaches individual and group courses. She uses processed quality and interesting materials to enrich her teaching. In addition to teaching, she translates fiction.

Mgr. Damián Michalco

English language teacher

He studied English language and civics. In addition to English language, he is also a student of social sciences and philosophy, therefore he is also a student of Masaryk University teaching the foundations of social sciences at the Faculty of Arts. He holds a certificate in Holistic Montessori Education in Montessori Pedagogy and has recently participated in a language placement at TLI English Language Training in Edinburgh. He translates his passion for music into movement and music activities to enrich the children’s classes. In addition to children’s courses, he also teaches individual and evening classes.

Ladislava Indrová

English language teacher

Laďka has been studying English since childhood. She attended grammar school and successfully completed the Cambridge FCE exam. She mainly works with individual students, children and companies. She has also completed Montessori training which she actively uses when working with children in a language school.In her free time she likes to travel, explore new places, paint and learn Italian at duoligo. She is very kind, friendly and the students are very satisfied with her teaching.

Mgr.Patrícia Rafajdusová

English language teacher

She is studying at the University of Žilina in the field of English Language and Literature and Education for Citizenship. She is also a trainer of climbing on artificial walls, enjoys sports, and besides children, she also likes nature and animals. She is currently completing her second Master’s degree in Žilina. During her studies, she worked as a teacher’s assistant at an elementary school in Prague. She passed the state exams in English C1. She loves children very much, she approaches them with great patience and love and as she says: “You have to be born to work with children and you have to enjoy it. Otherwise it’s pointless”

Mgr. Katka Danková

English language teacher

She is studying at the University of Žilina in the field of English Language and Literature and Education for Citizenship. Besides that, she likes to sew and embroider for herself and her family, she likes nature and animals. She is currently completing her second Master’s degree in Žilina. During her studies, she worked as a teaching assistant in various primary schools. She has passed the state exams in English C1. She is very fond of children and that is why she teaches them not only individually but also in groups. She has a very positive attitude towards Britain, its people, culture, way of life and language. She teaches children’s and individual courses.

Mgr. Magdaléna Kováčiková

Lecturer of English Language She graduated at the University of Žilina, Žilina, major – Teaching of academic subjects – English Language and Education for Citizenship. In addition to teaching English, she actively played volleyball. In her spare time she is a translator of texts and loves to travel. In addition to children’s courses, she also teaches individual lessons for different age groups

Mary Jane Villame

English language teacher

English language teacher. Mary Jane is originally from the Philippines, specifically from the island of Bohol. She completed her teacher education degree in Teaching English Language and Literature in 2015 and has been teaching children and individual students since then. She lives here with her husband. We are very happy to have Mary Jane in our team:-)

Mgr. Zuzana Pechancova

German language teacher

She graduated from the University of Transport and Communications in Žilina, Faculty of Industrial Engineering.During her studies she completed her pedagogical education at the school. In 2000 she passed the general exam in German at the State Language School in Žilina. In 2008 she completed her extension studies at the Comenius University in Bratislava in the field of German language and literature. She has 24 years of teaching experience. She enjoys reading books, travelling and hiking.
